Full Job Description Description:
This position provides a high level of support for the development team by procuring needed materials, fabricating components (mechanical and electrical), assembling product samples, product testing and supporting prototype developments. This position works closely with Engineering. Procurement of components required to assemble test samples and test materials. Fabrication of components and assembly of electromechanical products. Building of prototype test samples using engineering assembly drawings. Execution of validation tests of new product systems. Creation and documentation of test reports. Assist in the documentation of the systems. Fabrication of electronic cables.
Requirements:
Associate Degree or equivalent experience Previous experience in product development or test lab environments Ability to effectively use typical electronic test and measurement equipment Ability to read mechanical drawings, electronic schematics, assembly drawings and product descriptions. Experience in simple fabrication of metal parts (use of mill, lathe, mechanically inclined) Experience in soldering electronic components (thru-hole and SMT) Working knowledge of MS Office to include Windows, Word, and Excel Ability to work both independently and on a team Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Ability to meet physical requirements of the job including sitting and standing, and performing repetitive motions required for proper assembly with or without a reasonable accommodation Ability to work well in a fast paced, changing environment Ability to lift, push pool and carry materials up to 10 lbs,, Ability to operate tools machinery or office equipment safely. Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) PI286979738
