Job Title:
Engineering Technician Job Description We are seeking an Engineering Technician to support assembly and manufacturing operations. This direct labor role focuses on providing technical support, troubleshooting, pilot builds, training, and process support. The Engineering Technician will serve as a bridge between engineering and the production floor, offering hands-on problem solving, guidance, and knowledge transfer to manufacturing associates. The role involves supporting new product introductions, assisting with first-time builds, troubleshooting production issues, and training operators on processes and work instructions. Responsibilities Provide technical support to production and engineering teams. Troubleshoot manufacturing, assembly, and electronic issues on the floor. Support new product development and pilot builds, including building first-article or first-time units before release to production. Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts. Help train manufacturing associates and technicians through formal or informal training. Review, update, and follow work instructions and processes. Work collaboratively with process engineers, product engineers, and manufacturing personnel. Spend time split between bench/desk work (approx. 40-50%) and floor support, communication, and coordination (approx. 50-60%). Support production as needed during overtime and occasional weekend rotations. Essential Skills Hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, assembly, or technical support. Experience troubleshooting electronic or electro-mechanical assemblies. Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with operators, technicians, and engineers. Comfortable providing technical guidance or direction to others. Additional Skills & Qualifications Willingness to work onsite, full-time, with flexibility for overtime and occasional weekends. Work Environment This role requires working onsite with a split between bench/desk work and floor support. The position includes support during overtime and occasional weekends. The work environment is highly interactive, requiring strong communication and collaboration with various engineering and manufacturing personnel. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pottstown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
