Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Hardware Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. The candidate will lead the gathering of requirements, design, development, and optimization of advanced electronic hardware systems, ensuring quality, reliability and scalability. This role requires a deep understanding of electronic principles, hands-on experience with complex hardware design and the ability to mentor junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design & development of complex hardware systems in the automotive industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to ensure proper hardware-software integration.
  • The hardware engineer will perform complex digital circuit design for cameras and displays.
  • Develop and execute test plans, perform root-cause analysis, and implement hardware optimizations to meet system specifications and reliability standards.
  • Evaluate components, suppliers, and emerging technologies to improve product performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Create detailed technical documentation, including schematics and technical design reviews.
  • Mentor junior hardware engineers, providing guidance on best practices, troubleshooting, and design methodologies.
  • Support hardware prototyping, debugging, and iteration cycles from concept through production.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain hardware development timelines, tracking planned versus actual progress for all engineering phases.
  • Execute
HW DFMEA
& customer specific checklists for hardware deliveries.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware engineering, with proven expertise in circuit design and embedded systems. Experience with automotive hardware development preferred.
  • Proficient in hardware design tools (e.g. Mentor Graphics, Altium Designer).
  • Experience with image processing, vehicle design, camera's is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, signal integrity, power systems, and EMI/EMC considerations.
  • Experience with hardware debugging tools including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and project management abilities.
  • Experienced in project planning, hardware schedule management, and timeline tracking tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, or equivalent).
  • Strong documentation, communication, and project management abilities to ensure alignment across engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, environmental testing, and certifications.
  • Demonstrated success in leading hardware design projects from concept to production.
AI & Emerging Technologies Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and strong interest in emerging Generative AI technologies and their application to product development, validation, and engineering processes is a plus.
