Schedule:
4/10, 1st shift; hybrid (onsite about half the week) Security clearance: None required About the role Senior hardware engineer on a team delivering an FAA Level D Full Flight Simulator, leading hardware design and facility integration. Contract with opportunity for full-time hire. What you will do Design and develop power and control systems, motion platform integration, visual display systems, avionics interfaces and ancillary equipment Integrate simulator hardware with building infrastructure (HVAC, electrical distribution, grounding, fire and smoke monitoring) Lead hardware engineers and coordinate engineering, procurement, production and suppliers to schedule Develop Creo layouts and detailed drawings for ICDs, components and assemblies Derive hardware requirements, build BOMs and support SRR, PDR, CDR and TRR reviews What you bring Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related (16+ years with BS, 14+ with MS) Experience developing flight simulation hardware solutions on programs Creo layouts and detailed drawings; design checking/non-conformance through PLM Hardware architecture layouts and requirements derivation BOM creation and design documentation Hardware engineering in an Agile environment U.S. citizenship; able to work onsite in Orlando about half the week Nice to have Windchill, Catia, Zuken, Cameo GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and tolerance analysis Flight training system development and deployment Full motion simulators; rotary or fixed wing aircraft Modular open systems architecture Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
