Job Description
Company Description Monsoon Solutions Inc. is a full-service PCB company in the Pacific Northwest, providing PCB design, engineering, manufacturing, and lab services. We provide services to a wide range of aerospace, consumer, medical, space and industrial companies. It is very common for us to work on technologies that are brand new and to be the ones defining the reference design vs following one. We focus on long-term relationships with clients, emphasizing quality work and reliable solutions over short-term profits. We truly care about our employees, their work-life balance and helping them develop long careers at Monsoon. Our customers come to us because we are the experts in PCBs. Do you understand the "why" behind layout and what you do, not just how to use the tool? Do you enjoy challenges and helping make products better, sharing your ideas vs. just following what is put in front of you? This role could be for you. Role Description The Experienced PCB Designer/Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end PCB design activities, including potentially schematic capture, library creation, layout, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with electrical and mechanical engineers, reviewing design requirements, performing design rule checks, and optimizing layouts for signal integrity, manufacturability, and reliability. This is a full-time role based in Bellevue, WA. We will consider candidates anywhere in Washington and will support people who prefer to work primarily remotely, but strongly prefer candidates willing and able to periodically come in the office. Preferred Qualifications Status as a US person due to customer ITAR requirements 2+ years of experience as a PCB Engineer/Designer or equivalent work experience Experience with Altium Designer is required; Other tools such as Cadence Allegro/Orcad or Seimens/Mentor Xpedition are a plus. Strong proficiency in PCB design tools and workflows, including schematic capture, library creation, layout, and design rule checking for production-ready boards. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with customers and coworkers alike.
