Mechanical Engineer - Fire Protection Engineering Resource Group - 4.7 Reading, PA Job Details Full-time $110,000 - $140,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications CAD software System design Fire codes and regulations Plumbing building codes Revit Engineer in Training Bachelor's degree in engineering Design engineering Building code analysis Design of mechanical systems Building information modeling (BIM) tools Full Job Description Description Permanent position for a Mechanical Engineer (Plumbing & Fire Protection) delivering building systems design for industrial, life sciences, institutional and commercial facilities. Design domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, storm drainage, natural gas and related plumbing systems, including sizing calculations and equipment selection. Design sprinkler, standpipe and fire pump systems to NFPA and local code requirements. Produce construction documents (drawings, specifications and equipment schedules) in a Revit-based BIM workflow. Survey existing facilities and evaluate the condition and capacity of in-place plumbing and fire protection systems. Coordinate system routing and interfaces with architectural, structural, HVAC and electrical disciplines.
