JOB SUMMARY
The Process Engineer is responsible for carrying out various process-related activities within the service center and production in order to achieve the most optimal and efficient production process. The PE translates product specifications into documented checklists and processes, ensuring that the processes meet the correct standards from a customer perspective or laws and regulations, ensures correct work instructions within the department. In addition, works on improvement processes and supplying necessary data to internal departments. Analyses, identifies, gives solicited and unsolicited advice on process conditions. Informs shift leaders and possibly employees about new processes and/or products. Has regular internal consultation with the internal departments Quality, Engineering, Planning and Purchasing. Must comply with given (safety) instructions and use personal protective equipment (PPE) where necessary.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensures proper documentation is created that adheres to customer product BoMs and specifications for servicing RTMs (Returnable Transport Materials) for high tech companies.
  • Translates product specifications into processes and therefore co-determining the optimal work sequence, workplace layout, processing times, required machines and tools.
  • Compiles a detailed process description leading to work instructions and adapting existing instructions where necessary
  • Ensures correct technical documentation
  • Identifies areas for improvement, initiates projects or makes improvement proposals and implements these in consultation with shiftleaders/teamleaders.
  • Provides input on process parameters such as cycle times, pre- and post-calculation of work orders, technical capabilities of machines and other equipment
  • Performs checks based on the work orders, troubleshoots issues identified, analyses and gives advice
  • Informs and instructs shift leaders and, where necessary, employees
  • Analyses, identifies, advises and consults in the context of processes, quality, safety, controllability and optimal production.
  • Makes process design for efficient arrangement of workstations, machines and tools; analyses, optimises and proposes improvements
  • Participates in consultation forms for the processes within production
  • Helps ensure that production can achieve set targets.
  • Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and operational procedures
  • Ensure compliance with company quality and operational procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree with hands‑on process or manufacturing engineering experience
  • 1-5 years of experience in production and/or engineering environment
  • Ability to translate specs into working production checklists and process routers
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Familiar with ERP/MRP systems and BoM structures
  • Capability to optimize workflow and improve throughput with minimal waste
  • Strong root‑cause analysis abilities (5-Why, Pareto, Fishbone, etc.)
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical documents, labels, and customer-supplied work instructions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability for various technical challenges
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team
  • Fluent speaking and writing in English

Pay:
$70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
