JOB SUMMARY
Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM As a Production Support professional, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing processes by providing technical assistance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Reporting to the Production Support Supervisor or Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing production equipment, addressing technical challenges, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the production environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide on-the-floor technical support to production operators and team members. Address and resolve technical inquiries and issues promptly. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of production equipment and machinery. Execute preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance. Identify and diagnose technical issues in production processes and equipment. Implement timely and effective solutions to minimize disruptions. Collaborate with the production team to identify opportunities for process improvement. Implement changes and adjustments to enhance efficiency and product quality. Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance activities and technical interventions. Update documentation related to troubleshooting procedures and solutions. Work closely with production operators and team leads to understand technical challenges. Provide training and guidance on the proper use and care of equipment. Collaborate with the Quality Control team to ensure products meet quality standards. Participate in quality audits and inspections as needed. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in all technical activities. Report and address any safety concerns promptly. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of spare parts and consumables. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of required materials. Implement systems for continuous monitoring of production equipment. Utilize data and analytics to anticipate and prevent technical issues. Work closely with the maintenance team for complex repairs and upgrades. Provide input on equipment reliability and recommend improvements. Ensure strict adherence to established SOPs in all technical activities. Participate in the development and updating of SOPs as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong technical proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and machinery. Awareness of safety protocols and procedures. Ability to adapt to changing production requirements and priorities. Flexibility to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical team members. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think analytically. Capacity to resolve technical issues efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Positive attitude and a willingness to support the production team. Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical certifications or an associate degree is a plus. Proven experience in a technical support role within a manufacturing or production environment.
