Job Summary Belcan is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to support an Aerospace OEM client with a focused PPAP backlog recovery initiative. In this role, you will work directly with suppliers and the client's Supplier Quality Engineering team to review, resolve, and close outstanding PPAP submissions. Responsibilities include technical document review, supplier coaching, deficiency resolution, and coordination with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on aerospace quality experience and a strong understanding of PPAP, AS9100, AS9102, First Article Inspection (FAI), Control Plans, PFMEA/DFMEA, and engineering drawings. This is an onsite position working directly with the client team. Key Responsibilities Review PPAP packages for completeness, compliance, and technical accuracy. Review FAI packages, Control Plans, PFMEAs, DFMEAs, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation. Identify submission gaps, deficiencies, and nonconformances requiring supplier corrective action. Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers and the client's Supplier Quality Engineering team. Coach suppliers on PPAP requirements, submission expectations, and resubmittal criteria. Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Commodity Management, and Receiving Inspection to resolve approval roadblocks. Support Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities for recurring quality, documentation, and process issues. Drive PPAP backlog reduction through proactive supplier follow-up and issue resolution. Track supplier actions, PPAP status, open issues, and escalations. Required Qualifications 5+ years of Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Quality Engineering experience. Strong working knowledge of PPAP, AS9100, and AS9102. Experience reviewing FAIs, Control Plans, PFMEAs, DFMEAs, and engineering drawings. Strong supplier-facing communication, technical review, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple suppliers, PPAP packages, and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field. Aerospace manufacturing or aerospace supplier quality experience. Experience working directly with aerospace OEMs and/or Tier 1 suppliers. Experience with RCCA, supplier corrective actions, and nonconformance resolution. #
