Job Description

Our co-op programs are designed to provide paid work experience and valuable hands-on experience in your field. Co-op assignments are typically 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday for 8 months. The Cedar Rapids site is a new greenfield expansion to support SZG's increasing demand and capacity expansion. Spring Co-op (January 2027 - August 2027)
Manufacturing Engineering:
This position will work cross functionally to support the start-up of our new Cedar Rapids, IA facility in either Fabrication or Assembly engineering. You will be responsible for incorporating various Industrial and Mechanical Engineering principles in a manufacturing environment, perform analysis of procedures and design fixtures while working to increase productivity and efficiency through the plant to ensure safety and quality. You will work closely with various engineering groups to develop facility layouts through CAD, develop procedures for new equipment, & work through continuous improvement projects.
Quality Assurance Engineering:
Assists in improving quality systems. Works to enhance In-Line product quality and testing of refrigeration/cooking systems and structural dimensions with an emphasis on data capture and analysis. Fall Co-op (May 2026 - January 2027)
