Plant Engineer:
As the leader of the maintenance and engineering department in a dynamic plant setting, the Plant Engineer will oversee the maintenance of top-quality facilities and equipment performance. By minimizing mechanical downtime and ensuring smooth product flow, you will optimize the efficiency of our production lines. You will spearhead the development and implementation of advanced maintenance systems, including Preventative and Predictive Maintenance, TPM, and more, to propel our plant to new levels as part of a High Performing Manufacturing Organization. As the head of engineering activities, you will ensure our facilities maintain a cutting-edge food manufacturing process, leading innovative technology projects. In this position, you will not just supervise maintenance operations but elevate them to enhance efficiency and innovation! Job Duties & Responsibilities of the
Plant Engineer:
Oversee capital projects from inception to completion. Coordinate and schedule all project components to minimize disruption to plant operations, delivering projects on time, within budget, and upholding safety, food safety, and environmental standards. Lead the development and implementation of state-of-the-art maintenance systems to maximize plant performance. Drive Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, TPM, and other impactful strategies to ensure optimal scheduling that minimizes downtime. Supervise the maintenance team by assigning tasks, enforcing policies, and directing work assignments. Serve as a key problem solver by offering immediate fixes and long-term solutions to daily operational challenges, ensuring seamless plant operation with few recurring issues. Promote continuous improvement by creating and monitoring Key Performance Indicators that gauge maintenance function success.
Education & Experience Requirements of Plant Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering or related field and at least 8 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Must have at least 2 years of experience in team management/development or project leadership. Previous experience in Food Manufacturing. Experience in Change Management. Strong leadership, planning, teamwork, analytical thinking, and adaptability skills required. Advanced technical proficiency in mechanical/electrical fields (e.g. PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical engineering, etc.) and experience in resource planning in a large manufacturing environment. Thorough understanding of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, etc. Proficient in using exposure monitoring equipment, interpreting and sharing results. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
