Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations and Crate Builder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing custom crates, on-site construction and completion of crates, and other custom designed packaging & handling solutions to ensure safe and efficient transportation of goods. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on in a dynamic environment, utilizing your carpentry and construction skills to contribute to our company's success. BPC IL will invest in on-the-job-training in the areas of freight handling/packaging, solution sales, regulated materials packaging, management, etc.
• Duties Building custom crates, learn design & protection for transit Experienced and skilled tool & equipment use, compressor powered nail / staple gun, saws & hand tools Tape measure & standard math skills, preferred mental quick math Experienced forklift driver, sit down, propane. On-site crating and packaging, labeling, paperwork, measurements of customer products or equipment Load, blocking & bracing of ocean containers Following instructions, Beaver Packaging policies & procedures / following company standards Skills Good communication skills; must be able to communicate clearly & professionally with company team in Taylor facility and Bensenville, IL facility, leadership and customers, verbal & written Intermediate computer skills - Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook (professional email communication and follow-up) Work pace; efficient working on the floor building, crates & packaging with team, answering door, loading / unloading freight, on-site or driving box truck locally as needed Quality, organization, initiative and motivation, attention to detail & accuracy , good memory Reliable transportation to work & Dependable - Good Attendance Physically fit for job; bending, kneeling, lifting 50 + pounds, etc. Following verbal direction & company procedures
VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
(required for Full Time) Pass DOT physical, drug screen, background TSA check Excellent physical stamina for manual labor tasks including lifting heavy materials safely

$17.00 - $27.00 per hour
