Lead Process Engineer

Job Description

Reliance Machine Company is looking for a processing engineer to join our team and drive excellence in our manufacturing processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead process improvements, optimize production efficiency, and ensure the highest quality standards across manufacturing operations. As a key contributor, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and sustain manufacturing solutions that support our company's growth and technological advancements. Duties Lead process engineering initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and safety through continuous improvement methodologies. Develop and modify CAD models using the software SolidWorks and Master CAM to design tooling fixtures, and assembly aids that enhance production workflows. Program and troubleshoot industrial systems including programmable logic controllers (PLC's), CNC machines, and other industrial equipment. Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in production lines or equipment failures, implementing effective corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineers, quality assurance, and production staff to optimize manufacturing processes and resolve engineering troubleshooting challenges. Manage project scheduling for process upgrades or new product introductions ensuring timely completion within scope and budget. Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to ensure precise manufacturing specifications are met across assemblies and components. Support factory reduction using Lean management principles. Qualifications Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role within a high-volume production environment. Strong knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo) for designing schematics, tooling, and assembly layouts. Hands-on experience with programming, and CNC machining. Expertise in process engineering tools including root cause analysis, project management, and process improvement methodologies. Familiarity with Schematics interpretation, GD&T standards, industrial equipment troubleshooting, and tool design. Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to foster cross-functional collaboration across departments such as quality control, maintenance, and production operations. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with analytical skills for engineering troubleshooting and data analysis aimed as continuous improvement initiatives. Pay:
$20.00 - $35.00 per hour
