This is a family-owned leader in advanced thermal processing equipment used throughout the Metal Injection Molding (MIM) and Additive Manufacturing (AM) industries. We're looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to own the electrical architecture of our custom industrial machinery—from initial concept through manufacturing and commissioning. You'll design sophisticated industrial equipment that pushes the boundaries of manufacturing technology while working alongside an experienced, collaborative engineering team where your ideas genuinely matter. You'll lead the electrical hardware design of custom industrial equipment—not just individual drawings or isolated subsystems. From concept through production, you'll have ownership over your designs and the opportunity to influence every project. Every project presents unique engineering challenges involving: Industrial power distribution (120-600VAC / 24-60VDC) Electrical panel design Industrial control hardware High-temperature process equipment Custom wiring systems Safety systems Component selection Regulatory compliance You'll engineer solutions—not simply maintain legacy designs. What You'll Do As our Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer, you'll lead the complete electrical hardware design for advanced industrial machinery. YEAR 1: Designed complete electrical hardware systems for multiple custom machines Become a trusted technical resource across engineering Improved documentation and electrical design standards Helped deliver world-class industrial equipment used by manufacturers across the globe Your responsibilities include: Own end-to-end electrical hardware architecture for custom industrial equipment Develop electrical schematics, layouts, and wiring documentation using EPLAN Design AC and DC power distribution systems Specify motors, transformers, relays, breakers, heaters, SCRs, cables, and protection devices Create panel layouts, BOMs, terminal drawings, grounding plans, and installation documentation Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, UL, CE, ISO, and applicable industry standards Collaborate closely with Mechanical Engineering and Automation Engineering Support equipment builds, checkout, troubleshooting, testing, and continuous improvement Improve engineering standards and documentation across future projects What We're Looking For - You'll likely be successful if you have: Required Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering 7+ years designing industrial electrical hardware Mandatory EPLAN expertise Experience designing industrial machinery or custom equipment Expertise with industrial power distribution and control panels Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, UL, and CE requirements Experience creating electrical schematics, panel layouts, and manufacturing documentation Preferred Experience designing equipment involving: High-temperature process systems Furnaces Vacuum systems Transformers SCR power controls Industrial heating systems Custom manufacturing equipment Move on & Move up!
