Position Summary The IDEX Material Sciences Solutions, CVI Albuquerque business unit is looking for an Engineering Manager with a passion for solving problems and collaborating with teams. In this role, the Engineering Manager supports production by setting direction and coordinating manufacturing and production design engineers to improve process efficiency, and introduce new products. This a working leader role, directly involved in manufacturing / design work to add additional capacity to the existing engineering team. This role reports to the Site Leader. Duties and Responsibilities- Identifies and drives continuous improvement for manufacturing
- Responds to production product / process non-conformities, ensuring resources are allocated to support production technicians as part of issue escalation
- Leads the effort towards conducting root cause analysis and develops effective countermeasures
- Creates and manages timelines for projects
- Build and improve process around new product introduction coordination, including engineering and other support functions
- Creates and implements methodology for improved workflow and testing capabilities
- Represent engineering function in customer interactions, both for issue escalation of ongoing projects or new product opportunities.
- Ensures process documentation is created for newly developed processes and on-going projects
- Creates metrics to track process capability and improvement
- As needed creates or recommends creation of drawings for required jigs
- Translates customer specifications into procedures to be performed by the department
- Interacts with various departments that impact production and process issues improve productivity and quality
- Establishes, follows, and enforces all safety regulations
- Utilizes data analysis techniques to prioritize solutions
- Effectively communicates change at all levels in organization Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

- B.S. or higher in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field or the equivalence in work experience.
- Eight or more years experience in the field of manufacturing. Familiar with using statistical process control or similar methods.
- Three years direct engineering team leadership / supervision
