About Radicle Development Center Radicle Development Center is am engineering and manufacturing firm that helps hardware teams turn ideas into physical systems quickly. From our 50,000-square-foot facility in Malvern, PA, we support customers in fusion energy, aerospace and defense, advanced energy, industrial equipment and other emerging hardware markets. Our work ranges from precision sheetmetal and welded assemblies to prototypes, test equipment and integrated electro-mechanical systems. We are a team of approximately 15 people, many with engineering backgrounds. Our environment is high-mix, low-volume and deadline-driven, with dozens of small manufacturing jobs moving alongside larger engineering projects. We are looking for an early-career industrial engineer or manufacturing professional who can help us run that environment exceptionally well. The Role The Manufacturing Operations Analyst / Industrial Engineer will help create the visibility, discipline and follow-through required to keep a busy factory moving. This is not a desk-only analyst position. You will analyze production data, plan capacity, track work and improve processes, but you will also spend significant time on the factory floor understanding what is happening, identifying issues early and helping the team execute. You should be able to quickly answer questions such as: What needs to ship today, tomorrow and this week? Where are our most important jobs in the process? Which work centers are overloaded or underutilized? What is preventing a job from moving? Where is work at risk of becoming stranded? What requires management attention now? The goal is not simply to report what happened. The goal is to help the operation perform better. What You'll Do Production Planning & Execution Translate customer commitments and production priorities into practical daily and weekly plans. Maintain visibility into WIP, backlog, due dates, work-center queues and available capacity. Track critical jobs through fabrication, inspection, assembly and shipment. Identify bottlenecks, missing information, material constraints and stalled work before they affect delivery. Help ensure priorities established in morning meetings translate into action throughout the day. Balance urgent work with longer-duration projects so important jobs do not remain untouched until they become emergencies. Operations Analysis & Improvement Develop simple, useful systems for understanding production status, workload and factory performance. Track metrics such as shipment pace, backlog, WIP, queue age and on-time delivery. Help leadership understand whether the factory is on pace to meet weekly production and revenue objectives. Analyze where time is being lost through waiting, rework, poor handoffs or inefficient sequencing. Improve production flow, scheduling, staging, standard work and capacity planning. Implement improvements with the team rather than simply recommending them. Hands-On Factory Support At Radicle, helping the factory succeed is part of everyone's job. When production needs another set of hands, you should be comfortable stepping in and helping move work forward. Depending on your experience and training, this could include staging material, deburring, hardware installation, inspection support, packaging, assembly or other production-support tasks. What We're Looking For An ideal candidate will have: A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations or a related technical discipline. Approximately 1-5 years of manufacturing, industrial engineering, production planning or operations experience. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Comfort working with production data and Excel or similar tools. The ability to manage many simultaneous priorities without losing track of details. A natural tendency to follow up, close loops and notice when something is not moving. Confidence communicating with engineers, technicians and company leadership. A willingness to spend significant time on the factory floor. A bias toward action and ownership. Experience with sheetmetal fabrication, welding, job-shop manufacturing, ERP/MRP systems, Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement is helpful but not required. Schedule & Work Environment This is a full-time, on-site position in Malvern, PA. Our normal operating schedule is built around a 40-hour workweek, but this is a small, deadline-driven manufacturing company rather than a strictly clock-in/clock-out analyst position. Customer commitments and production pushes will sometimes require earlier starts, later finishes or additional time to get important work across the line. The position involves regular work on an active manufacturing floor and requires the ability and willingness to perform appropriate hands-on production-support activities. Growth Opportunity We see significant growth potential in this role. Initially, success will mean improving factory visibility, planning and execution while learning Radicle's operation in depth. Over time, an exceptional person could take ownership of increasingly significant portions of production planning, factory systems, continuous improvement and manufacturing operations.
