Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Science, or related engineering discipline. 5-10+ years of packaging engineering experience. Consumer goods or consumer packaged goods packaging experience. Experience developing primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging. Experience supporting packaging development for new product launches. Experience qualifying new package designs and packaging materials. Experience developing packaging component specifications. Experience with bottle development and package design. Experience supporting packaging supplier qualification activities. Experience working with multiple packaging materials and converting methods. Ability to work onsite on a hybrid schedule. Ability to support international projects that may require early morning or late evening meetings. Preferred Skills 10+ years of packaging engineering experience across multiple packaging formats. Experience with corrugated containers. Experience with folding cartons and solid fiberboard. Experience with plastic bottles. Experience with flexible packaging. Consumer goods experience outside of medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Job Responsibilities Develop primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging solutions for consumer products. Lead packaging development activities for new product launches. Develop and evaluate bottle designs and related packaging components. Coordinate qualification of new packaging designs, materials, and suppliers. Develop and maintain packaging component specifications. Evaluate packaging materials, converting processes, and manufacturing methods. Support corrugated, folding carton, plastic bottle, flexible, thermoformed, and injection-molded packaging applications. Develop and support shrink sleeve decoration requirements. Perform packaging design reviews and recommend design modifications. Coordinate packaging supplier qualification and technical evaluation activities. Support packaging testing, qualification, and implementation activities. Work with global packaging teams on international product and packaging projects. Coordinate packaging requirements across engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and regional packaging teams. Support packaging changes, product launches, and continuous improvement initiatives. Apply Six Sigma methodologies to packaging development and process improvement activities.

Pay:
