Work Model:
Remote - offsite (Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois preferred) Responsibilities Negotiate contracts, perform audits at supplier locations, and facilitate supplier onboarding. Travel to supplier sites as needed (30-40%). Participate in a 4-6 week training program including shadow audits, observing, and gradually conducting audits under supervision. Manage relationships with approximately 50 suppliers across the supply chain. Support supplier qualification, process assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure supplier quality aligns with regulatory and company standards. Maintain thorough documentation of quality audits and supplier performance metrics. Assist in implementing quality improvements and corrective actions. Requirements Lead Quality Auditor Qualification (ISO 13485, CFR 820 or comparable) - active or expired with relevant experience. Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, automotive, or pharmaceuticals. Supplier-facing experience including audits, contract negotiations, and onboarding. Experience with audit processes, non-conformance management, and TrackWise. Proficiency in FMEA, validation programs, SPC processes, and manufacturing understanding. Strong written and oral communication, including negotiation skills.
Desirable:
Plastics/injection molding or electronics experience; Lean Six Sigma certification.
