Where is the work:
On-Site (5 days) What's in it for you: The Engineering Intern supports the engineering team by assisting with process improvements, data analysis, and technical projects within a manufacturing environment. This role is designed for individuals in the Columbia area pursuing a career in engineering and provides hands-on, real-world experience.What you will do:
Assist engineering technicians and engineers with day-to-day support on the production floor Support process improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and efficiency Collect, organize, and analyze production and process data Participate in problem-solving activities (5 Whys, root cause analysis) Help develop and update work instructions and process documentation Observe and learn manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems Present project updates and findings to engineering or operations leadership What you will bring: Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Currently enrolled in, planning to enroll in, or recently graduated from a program aligned to engineering or technical fields preferred Must be located in or able to commute to the Columbia, SC area Strong interest in pursuing a career in engineering, manufacturing, or operations Preferred Skills Pursuing or completed coursework in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or related field Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel Exposure to CAD software or technical tools is a plus Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a hands-on environment Development Opportunity Direct exposure to engineering and technician-level work Hands-on experience in a manufacturing plant environment Mentorship from engineering and operations leaders Opportunity to transition into a full-time Engineering Technician or Engineering role Work Environment Combination of office and manufacturing floor exposure Must follow all plant safety requirements.Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:
