Compensation:
$30-44/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Day:
As a Materials Execution Engineer , you will be responsible for analyzing and implementing process improvements for material handling operations within General Assembly. This role focuses on optimizing material flow, kitting and sequencing operations, line-side delivery strategies, and automation initiatives to improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and plant teams to support current production and new vehicle launch activities through layout development, PFEP ownership, and continuous improvement projects. Responsibilities Analyze and improve material handling processes within General Assembly, focusing on efficiency, ergonomic improvements, and waste reduction. Develop and optimize kitting and sequencing strategies to ensure the right parts are delivered to the production line in the correct quantity, location, and build sequence. Identify and evaluate automation opportunities to reduce material handling waste, improve productivity, and support future-state manufacturing operations. Support facility layout reviews, material flow studies, and workstation design initiatives to improve line-side part presentation and inventory management. Lead material flow optimization projects, including the analysis of current-state processes and development of future-state automated solutions. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve PFEP (Plan for Every Part) documentation to support efficient material storage, transportation, and delivery methods. Design and implement material delivery systems, sequencing racks, kit carts, and line-side replenishment strategies that support production requirements. Collaborate with manufacturing operations, product engineering, logistics, and IT teams to ensure successful integration of new technologies, equipment, and material flow processes. Analyze production data, material consumption trends, and process performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and support decision-making. Support vehicles launch activities, ensuring material flow processes, kitting operations, sequencing systems, and line-side delivery methods are prepared to meet production volume and quality targets. Communicate and coordinate with plant engineering teams, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive project execution and continuous improvement initiatives.
Pay:
$30.00 - $44.00 per hour
