We design and build turnkey robotic systems that improve productivity, reduce labor requirements, and solve complex manufacturing challenges. Over the past several years, we've invested heavily in our engineering team, project management processes, and manufacturing capabilities. We're now looking for a high-performing Sales Engineer who can help accelerate our growth by developing customer relationships and closing high-value automation projects. Our average automation projects range from approximately $500,000 to over $3 million, giving high-performing sales engineers the opportunity to build a substantial book of business and earn significant performance-based compensation. If you're someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with manufacturing customers, and winning complex sales, we'd like to talk with you. Position Summary The Sales Engineer is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, qualifying automation projects, and leading the sales process from initial contact through project award. This position requires someone who understands industrial automation, enjoys working directly with customers, and has demonstrated success closing technical sales. What You'll Do- Develop new business opportunities within manufacturing industries
- Build long-term relationships with plant managers, engineers, operations leaders, and executives
- Identify automation opportunities through customer meetings and plant visits
- Qualify customer requirements and collaborate with engineering to develop custom solutions
- Present technical concepts and ROI justifications
- Coordinate proposal development with application engineering
- Lead pricing discussions and contract negotiations
- Manage opportunities through purchase order
- Maintain CRM pipeline
- Travel throughout the United States
- Represent SynerTech at trade shows and industry events Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial automation sales, systems integration, custom machinery sales, or custom automation system design
- Proven track record of working with customers and closing technical sales
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and automation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to reside in Utah
- Willing to travel 30-50% Preferred Qualifications
- Robotics or material handling automation experience
- Knowledge of PLCs, robotics, vision systems, or motion control
- Experience selling capital equipment from $300,000 to multi-million dollars
