An Industrial or Mechanical Engineering Technician works with industrial engineers and technologists to develop work processes that are more efficient and cost-effective. Gathers information on machinery and equipment, workflow and work assignments, layout or routing for a production process, and production standards and costs. May conduct time and motion studies with production workers.
We have immediate openings for a Mechanical Technician to support various trainer products. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Fabricate piece parts and structural assemblies from aluminum alloys.
Work from engineering drawings and use calipers and other measuring tools.
Assemble electromechanical components and perform equipment installations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent with at least one year experience in a shop environment.
Must have mechanical aptitude and experience with basic hand and power tools.
Basic ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
SALARY RANGE
$19-$32/per hour and will be commensurate with experience
