Job Summary Join a world leader in ultra-precision machining, the core technology behind optics manufacturing that powers industries such as mobile devices, AR/VR, communications satellites, solar energy, telescopes, medical imaging, and advanced defense systems. Nanotech offers an exciting, fast-paced, and hands-on environment for individuals who are mechanically inclined and eager to learn the art of building ultra-precision machines. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be part of a highly skilled team dedicated to assembling and perfecting complex mechanical systems that operate at micrometer and nanometer levels of accuracy. This role offers the opportunity to develop specialized skills in precision assembly, testing, and calibration while contributing to innovations that impact technologies around the world. Key Responsibilities Assembles, tests, and debugs complex precision assemblies and systems. Interprets and follows detailed engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics to accurately fit, align, and secure high-precision components such as spindles and bearings. Utilizes specialized tools and precision measurement equipment to ensure assemblies meet stringent accuracy and quality standards. Identifies, documents, and communicates product defects and assist in troubleshooting and corrective actions. Maintains detailed and accurate documentation of assembly procedures and test results. Performs assembly, calibration, and verification of machining systems to ensure peak performance. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet production schedules and ensures timely product delivery. Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work environment while adhering to all company safety regulations. Demonstrates flexibility by working overtime or traveling between facilities (NH and NC) as required. Perform other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. 2-5 years of experience in mechanical assembly, machine tool building, or a related industry. Proven ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and drawings. Experience with precision mechanical or electro-mechanical systems preferred. Core Competencies Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on technical skills. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality. Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Strong organizational and time management capabilities. Commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
