Terminal is a new operation with opportunities for advancement. Graymont is committed to responsible operations within the community and environmental stewardship. This position is responsible for safely performing routine and preventative maintenance activities, troubleshooting and repairing process problems in mechanical and electrical systems. Plant Technician progression based upon qualifications and related experience.
Position Description:
Observing all safety rules and regulations and all housekeeping and clean-up procedures. Conducting inspections and repairs on industrial equipment. Troubleshooting equipment such as, elevators, screw conveyors, weigh belt feeders, electrical and instrumentation, and other types of equipment. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment Creating work orders, advancing status, locating and issuing parts and providing a detailed description of the tasks accomplished in the work order. Retrieving from and organizing parts inventory into correct locations. Executing layout, fabrication and implementation of new equipment installations. Performing welding tasks with appropriate tools when necessary Work in various environments, including weather variations and exposure to fine lime/limestone dust (personal protective equipment is supplied by Graymont) Required to work alone Work overtime as required and respond (call-out) to all emergencies. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Applicant must have and maintain a current and valid PA Driver's License Must be able to climb ladders, work at heights, and have the ability to lift 50 lbs. Welding certificate preferred Fulfill requirements of "C" level electrician or applicable electrical experience Extensive experience or equivalent training in repair of all types of industrial equipment, i.e., screw and belt conveyors, bucket elevators, gearboxes and weigh belt feeders. Experience with welding and fabrication is essential, along with the ability to work both individually and as part of a team. Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy with strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem solving ability Minimum of 4 years of industrial experience is preferred; any other relevant experience will be considered Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
