This vital role involves overseeing the maintenance, engineering projects, and continuous improvement initiatives that drive operational excellence. The Plant Engineer will utilize advanced mechanical, electrical, and process engineering expertise to optimize production efficiency, ensure safety compliance, and support innovative manufacturing solutions. Duties Develop and manage project schedules for equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and new process implementations to ensure timely completion. Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures or process issues to identify underlying problems and implement effective corrective actions. Design and review technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and CAD drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and other CAD tools to support fabrication and assembly processes. Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, CNC machines, and vision inspection systems to enhance automation capabilities. Lead process engineering efforts in plastics injection molding, welding, fabrication, tooling design, and assembly line optimization to improve product quality and throughput. Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and foster continuous improvement across all manufacturing operations. Collaborate with industrial engineers to develop schematics for industrial equipment layout, factory floor planning, and system integration ensuring compliance with
ISO 9001
standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field; advanced certifications in CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), CAM programming or CNC programming are highly desirable. Proven experience in manufacturing facilities with a focus on plastics injection molding, robotics integration, CNC machining, or assembly line automation. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with expertise in industrial equipment maintenance and fabrication techniques. Proficiency in project scheduling software and tools for planning complex engineering projects. Hands-on experience with robot programming, vision inspection systems, Schematics design, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAM programming. Familiarity with industrial safety standards and
ISO 9001
quality management systems. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis quickly and effectively. Ability to work collaboratively across teams while managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
