Senior Manufacturing Engineer Sensata Technologies, Inc. - 3.7 Thousand Oaks, CA Job Details Full-time $98,240 - $135,080 a year 18 hours ago Benefits Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Flextime Parental leave Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Professional ethics Cross-functional communication Full Job Description The Manufacturing Engineer evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators. General Responsibilities Leads the implementation and maintenance of methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacturing or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies Collaborates with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines Leads records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations Plans and designs manufacturing processes in an industrial plant Leads the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations such as machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding and brazing, assembly, and material handling Experience / Qualifications A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience. Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers Work closely with continuous improvement teams to plan and oversee ongoing transformation projects. #LI-JL1 #
