Job Overview We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead and support cost, safety, service, business continuity, and quality projects within a medical device manufacturing environment. This role will focus on manufacturing process optimization, equipment and process validation, project management, and Lean Six Sigma initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and experience leading projects within a regulated medical device production environment. Key Responsibilities Lead cost, safety, service, and quality compliance projects by managing project budgets, timelines, and resources. Lead and support the innovation, development, and optimization of existing manufacturing processes. Conduct equipment and process validation activities to ensure manufacturing processes meet established requirements. Perform feasibility assessments, material selection, process and equipment selection, and tooling/fixture evaluations. Support equipment installation and assess process inputs, outputs, and requirements to optimize manufacturing operations. Design sequences of operations and develop procedures for the fabrication of tools, equipment, and manufacturing processes. Design and optimize manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining, processing, and material handling. Provide technical and sustaining engineering support within manufacturing areas. Recommend and implement equipment and process modifications to improve quality standards, production efficiency, manufacturing techniques, and production yields. Review product development requirements to ensure compatibility with manufacturing and processing methods. Evaluate project costs, schedules, resources, and manufacturing requirements. Collaborate with product design and development teams to ensure products and manufacturing processes are compatible. Lead and support process and cost optimization initiatives using Lean Six Sigma principles. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Experience in a medical device manufacturing environment. Experience with equipment and process validation. Demonstrated project management experience, including leading projects and managing timelines, resources, and deliverables. Experience with Lean Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, fixtures, and production operations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Product Development, and Engineering teams. Preferred Qualifications Six Sigma certification. Experience with process optimization and cost reduction initiatives. Experience supporting new equipment installation and manufacturing process development.
