Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and commission automation systems utilizing PLC programming, Human-Machine Interface (HMI) configuration, and industrial control architectures. Program and troubleshoot PLC systems including ladder logic (LD), distributed control systems, and robot controllers such as Fanuc robotic systems. Integrate industrial robotic systems with manufacturing equipment to improve productivity and precision. Maintain and repair industrial electrical systems, schematics, and industrial networks ensuring minimal downtime. Collaborate with mechanical engineers on tooling, machining, and blueprint reading to support automation projects. Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions using engineering troubleshooting techniques. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing automation workflows and reducing waste. Configure vision inspection systems and other advanced automation tools to enhance quality control. Lead efforts in industrial equipment troubleshooting, PLC troubleshooting, and system upgrades. Develop detailed documentation including schematics using AutoCAD or SolidWorks for system design and modifications. Requirements Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on automation. Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), PLC programming, installation, and repair. Proficiency in ladder logic (LD), HMI configuration, and industrial controls integration. Familiarity with Fanuc robotics or similar robotic systems used in manufacturing environments. Experience with industrial electrical systems, schematics reading/interpretation, and industrial networks. Mechanical knowledge including blueprint reading, tooling, machining processes, and SolidWorks or AutoCAD skills. Understanding of CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards is a plus. Ability to perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting on complex automated equipment. Knowledge of vision inspection systems and distributed control systems is advantageous.
