Job Description
About the Role As a Process Development Engineer, you will lead the transition of complex designs into high-precision production environments. You will leverage your expertise in CNC programming and process optimization to ensure that new products are manufactured with maximum efficiency, quality, and reliability. Responsibilities Design and validate robust CNC machining sequences, including advanced tooling and fixture strategies for multi-axis equipment. Drive the development of high-performance CNC programs using CAD/CAM software to meet stringent technical specifications. Analyze production workflows to identify bottlenecks, reduce cycle times, and eliminate waste through continuous improvement methodologies. Provide critical Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback to engineering teams to streamline product launches. Conduct root-cause analysis on production challenges, implementing permanent corrective actions to maintain operational excellence. Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including standard operating procedures and setup guides, to ensure consistent manufacturing outcomes. Mentor production staff on advanced machining techniques, quality standards, and best practices. Champion Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including 5S and Kaizen, to foster a culture of efficiency and safety. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in CNC process engineering and precision machining. Advanced proficiency in CNC programming, including probing and macro-based logic. Expert-level skills in CAD/CAM software suites and verification tools. Deep understanding of multi-axis machining principles and complex mill-turn operations. Strong command of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and technical blueprint interpretation. Proven ability to utilize metrology systems for rigorous quality validation. Preferred Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. Experience managing production data within ERP/MRP systems. Demonstrated success in high-complexity manufacturing environments, such as aerospace or medical device production.
