Design Engineer - CAD/CREO (Cape Canaveral, FL) (Cape Canaveral, FL, 32920) | 08/06/26 Easy Apply Share Job Job Description Design Engineer - CAD/CREO (Cape Canaveral, FL) We are looking for a Design Engineer for a global aerospace company. In this role, you will work closely with MGSE engineers to provide component or portions of system designs to include handling, lifting, testing, assembly and transportation of mechanical and electrical components. The selected candidates will be responsible for engineering documentation, drawing/Computer Aided Design (CAD) maintenance and verification, and support of cross-discipline product development. This is a 11-month contract (extensions are likely), 40-hour-per-week (4-day 10-hour shifts per week) onsite role in Cape Canaveral, FL. This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.
Responsibilities:
Use of CREO to develop plans, drawings, models, revise and initiate formats for parts, assemblies, and installation engineering. Create new parts, drawings, BOMs, assemblies, simplified reps, and shrinkwraps. Support team members with design knowledge. Complete layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices (ASME Y14.5). Prepare complete production detail drawings. Completes design modifications to improve the quality of the product or facilitate manufacturing operations.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in design engineering. Experience using a 3D CAD system (Creo, NX, SolidWorks, etc.). Experience with machine tool design or tool modification. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). US Citizenship required. Bachelor's Degree.
