Job Description

Quality Engineer - Manufacturing Operations We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on producing high-quality components and driving continuous improvement across production operations. This role is hands-on and plays a key part in ensuring products, processes, and systems meet established quality standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain quality control systems to ensure compliance with internal standards and procedures Conduct inspections and testing of products and manufacturing processes to identify defects and non-conformances Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, and operations teams to resolve quality issues Support new product introductions, including review of design changes, supplier changes, and first article inspections Participate in internal and external audits and ensure compliance with applicable quality standards Track, analyze, and report quality metrics, inspection results, and process performance data Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, 5S, and visual management systems Assist in development of standard operating procedures and training materials Support workforce training and competency tracking initiatives Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing or production environment in a quality-related role Strong understanding of quality systems, inspection methods, and process control Experience with root cause analysis and structured problem-solving tools (8D, CAPA, etc.) Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement principles Knowledge of quality standards and systems (ISO, AS9100, or similar preferred) Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills Experience with ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CQI) or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and process capability studies Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance Strong communication and collaboration skills across multiple departments Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction and without the need for current or future sponsorship.
