Job Description

Position Summary The Senior CAD/CNC Engineer is responsible for transforming customer requirements into complete manufacturing solutions consisting of engineering data, CAD drawings, CNC programs, tooling standards, manufacturing documentation, production workflows, and process improvements. This position serves as the technical bridge between customer requirements, engineering, manufacturing, CNC operations, quality control, and production leadership. Primary Responsibilities Engineering Review customer requirements and specifications Develop manufacturable product designs Validate manufacturing feasibility Develop engineering standards and procedures Support product development initiatives CAD Development Create customer approval drawings Create production drawings Create manufacturing documentation Maintain engineering standards Maintain CAD libraries and templates CAM Programming Develop CNC programs Develop tool paths and machining strategies Optimize machining efficiency Validate program performance Support CNC operations Tooling & Manufacturing Engineering Develop tooling standards Evaluate tooling performance Recommend manufacturing improvements Support process optimization Production Support Support machine setup and troubleshooting Resolve technical production issues Support quality initiatives Train operators and technical personnel Pre-Hang Manufacturing System Ownership Own pre-hang engineering Own pre-hang programming Own process development Own implementation and training Own continuous improvement initiatives Key Performance Indicators Engineering Accuracy % Programming Error Rate CNC Utilization % Rework Due to Engineering Engineering Turnaround Time Tooling Performance Manufacturing Efficiency Improvements Authority Engineering standards CAD standards CNC programming standards Tooling recommendations Manufacturing process recommendations Success Profile Highly technical manufacturing professional capable of translating customer requirements into repeatable, scalable, and efficient manufacturing solutions.
