Job Description
Job Summary Join our innovative engineering team as an Assistant Design Engineer, where you will play a vital role in supporting the development and manufacturing process related engineering tasks. Position offers a dynamic environment to apply your technical skills, collaborating with experienced engineers, and contributing to projects that apply to the defense and aerospace industries. You will assist in creating detailed schematics, CAD models, and prototypes, ensuring designs meet rigorous standards and specifications. Your enthusiasm for mechanical engineering will help drive our projects forward with energy and precision.

Job Duties and Tasks Responsible for assisting in the design and development of projects and assuring the design meets all requirements. Interprets and communicates dimensional data from technical drawings. Responsible for assisting in the design and development of methods and tools for the test and inspection of products. Research- using mathematical modeling to work out whether new developments and innovations would work and be cost effective. Design
- turning research ideas into technical plans using CAD/CAE software. Testing
- collecting and analyzing data from tests on prototypes. Modifying designs and re-testing
- there are several stages before a product is ready for manufacturing.
Key Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:
This position requires strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach for generating new ideas. This position requires advanced knowledge in the field of engineering and geometric dimensions and tolerances. Engineering degree or at least 4 years' experience preferred in the field of mechanical engineering. A sound knowledge of CAD software including SolidWorks and an excellent grasp of engineering and design principles. Detailed knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances. Detailed knowledge of precision measuring instruments and the application of the instruments in real world inspection situations. The instruments shall include, but not be limited to, calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and plug and tread Go/No Go gauges. Proficient English communication skills- reading, writing, and speaking
- as it relates to the job; Spanish a plus.
