The engineer will focus on process efficiency, product quality, production layouts, and continuous improvement while working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams. Key Responsibilities Design and improve manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for cable harnesses and subassemblies. Develop sequences of operations and procedures for fabrication, tooling, equipment, and material handling. Adapt equipment and manufacturing processes to meet production requirements. Incorporate inspection and testing requirements into manufacturing plans. Evaluate machinery, equipment, and tooling performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Investigate manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions to improve product quality. Develop and support processes applicable to Statistical Process Control (SPC). Provide engineering guidance on design concepts and specifications to optimize manufacturing methods. Ensure manufacturing processes and procedures comply with applicable requirements and regulations. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. Strong manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment. Experience developing and improving manufacturing processes. Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics and drawings. Experience working with manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications 6+ years of cable harness experience. Experience with electro-mechanical manufacturing. Experience reading engineering schematics. Experience with cable harness and subassembly production. Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and manufacturing process improvement. Experience identifying production issues and implementing corrective actions.
Pay:
$40.00 - $47.00 per hour
