About the OpportunityStep into a cornerstone manufacturing environment that is aggressively modernizing its shop floor through cutting-edge industrial automation, advanced robotics, and precision machine vision systems. As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will be at the tip of the spear of our manufacturing technology strategy-owning the design, integration, and continuous improvement of complex automated systems that drive high-volume, heavy industrial production.

What you will do:
Automation & Systems Design:
Design, program, and integrate automated manufacturing equipment, electrical control panels, and cell architecture.
Robotics Integration:
Program and optimize industrial robots (ABB, Kuka, Fanuc, Yaskawa) for high-efficiency material handling and assembly.
Machine Vision Systems:
Implement and maintain machine vision inspection systems (Cognex, Keyence, Datalogic) for automated quality control.
PLC Programming & Troubleshooting:
Write and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC code (ControlLogix, CompactLogix) and HMI interfaces to maximize uptime.
Plant Floor Support:
Serve as the technical expert for electrical and controls troubleshooting, partnering with maintenance and operations teams.
Continuous Improvement:
Spearhead engineering projects focused on reducing downtime, optimizing cycle times, and modernizing plant infrastructure.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
7+ years in a controls or automation role within heavy manufacturing
PLCs:
Deep expertise with Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000, ControlLogix, CompactLogix) and
HMIsRobotics:
Hands-on programming and integration experience with major platforms (ABB, Kuka, Fanuc, Yaskawa)
Machine Vision:
Proven track record deploying vision inspection systems (Cognex, Keyence)
Hardware & Systems:
