Job Description

We are a leading manufacturer of electrical, electromechanical, and mechanical assemblies, celebrating over 75 years of outstanding engineering and design. We have a diversified product line that includes PCB assemblies, prototypes, electronic modules, LED lighting, switches, resistors, sensors and HVAC controls. We have a job opportunity for a Manufacturing Design Engineer at our corporate office location in Northbrook, IL. We appreciate talent and negotiate salary based on qualifications and experience. Work Schedule Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. Job Summary The Manufacturing Design Engineer will create and optimize custom production machinery and manufacturing processes. The Manufacturing Engineer will take projects from initial concept through prototyping, testing, and final factory integration. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling and fixtures for production Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings Generate process flow and instructions and all necessary documentation for production Collaborate with shop floor machinists, assembly technicians, and quality control teams
Qualifications & Skills Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience:
2-5 years of hands-on mechanical design experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Software Proficiency:
Knowledge of 3D CAD tools and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Communication:
Strong problem-solving abilities and clear verbal communication for cross-team collaboration
EOE Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
