Job Description
Job Description As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you will design and implement world-class manufacturing solutions that transition cutting-edge robotics products from concept to production at scale. You will drive quality excellence across global supply chains, ensuring our next-generation robotics systems meet the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Apply Design for X (DFX) principles to transition autonomous robotic solutions and mechatronic systems from design to production. Develop and qualify suppliers while managing product lifecycle changes across complex global supply chains. Lead cross-functional quality improvement projects and drive technical root cause analysis for supplier defects. Design and develop manufacturing test solutions for consumer electronics and robotics systems. Implement best-in-class manufacturing systems for scalability, focusing on gearbox assembly, stator winding, rotor manufacturing, and motor integration. Collaborate with design teams globally to influence product designs and ensure manufacturability at scale. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field. Experience applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), or Design for X principles. Experience with manufacturing processes including fabrication, machining, sheet metal fabrication, or electronics assembly. Experience working with contract manufacturers and managing supplier relationships. Knowledge of quality systems and methodologies including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement principles. Experience with CAD software and technical drawing interpretation. Understanding of statistical process control and capability analysis. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with robotics, mechatronics, or electromechanical systems manufacturing. Experience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from prototype to mass production. Knowledge of test engineering principles and automated test equipment development. Experience with failure analysis techniques including FMEA, 8D, and root cause corrective action. Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies and smart manufacturing systems. Strong project management skills with ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders. Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
