Position Overview We are looking for an Engineering Project Instructor to guide students in developing hands-on engineering and technology projects as part of their academic and extracurricular development. This position focuses on applying engineering and computer science concepts to practical projects while helping students develop technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and meaningful project experience that can support their future school applications. The instructor will provide project-based instruction and technical guidance in areas including programming, electronics, engineering design, digital fabrication, and emerging technologies. The instructor will also help students develop, document, and refine projects that demonstrate their technical interests, creativity, and ability to apply knowledge to real-world problems. Key Responsibilities Deliver instruction in engineering, computer science, electronics, programming, and related technical subjects. Guide students in developing, testing, and refining engineering and technology project prototypes. Help students identify project topics and develop projects that align with their academic interests and long-term educational goals. Teach students to use engineering design and fabrication tools, including 3D modeling software, 3D printers, and laser cutting equipment. Help students apply programming and computational concepts to engineering and technology projects. Provide instruction on fundamental circuit design, electronic components, sensors, and related engineering concepts. Support students in documenting their project development, technical processes, and outcomes for use in academic portfolios and school applications. Support the development, refinement, and implementation of hands-on engineering curriculum. Minimum Education Requirement Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Professional Qualifications Strong academic foundation in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field. Hands-on experience developing or supporting engineering and technology projects. Ability to apply technical knowledge to practical project development and student projects. Ability to guide students in developing projects that demonstrate technical interests and academic strengths. Strong communication and student mentoring skills. Experience in project-based education or student project mentorship is preferred. Technical Skills Programming and software development fundamentals. Digital fabrication, including 3D printing and laser cutting. Compensation & Hours The position offers $45-$55 per hour and is expected to require approximately 20 hours per week. Actual scheduling may vary based on program and instructional needs.
