Electric Time Company is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support the design and production of custom architectural clocks and fabricated products. This position works closely with Sales, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to take projects from customer requirements and order review through engineering release and production. The ideal candidate is practical, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working both at a computer and directly with employees on the manufacturing floor. Responsibilities Review customer orders, drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Develop and maintain 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, and Bills of Materials. Create manufacturing drawings with proper dimensions, materials, tolerances, and finishes. Prepare customer approval and submittal drawings when required. Support Sheet Metal, Welding/Fabrication, Paint, Assembly, and Shipping with engineering questions. Troubleshoot fit, tolerance, fabrication, and assembly issues during production. Design parts and assemblies for practical, cost-effective manufacturing. Support processes including sheet metal fabrication, waterjet cutting, forming, machining, welding, finishing, and assembly. Work with Purchasing and outside vendors on technical requirements and manufactured components. Assist with prototypes, custom projects, engineering changes, and continuous improvement. Help identify and correct engineering issues that may cause rework, delays, or increased manufacturing cost. Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience. Experience in custom manufacturing, fabrication, or a machine shop environment preferred. Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software. Strong blueprint reading and manufacturing drawing skills. Understanding of materials, tolerances, fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly processes. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple custom projects and priorities. Strong communication skills and willingness to work directly with manufacturing personnel. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is not strictly a desk-based engineer. We are looking for someone who can review a custom project, determine how it can be manufactured, create the necessary drawings and documentation, and support the shop through successful completion. Pay:

$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
