Job Description
Job Overview We are looking for a dependable Bakery Opener to prepare our bakery for the day. This role includes opening the shop, baking pastries, setting up displays, and assisting customers during the morning rush. Ideal for someone who enjoys early mornings and working in a bakery environment. Responsibilities Open the bakery on time and complete opening procedures Bake pastries according to established recipes and standards Greet customers and provide friendly, welcoming service Take customer orders accurately and efficiently Prepare and stock pastry cases and front-of-house displays Brew coffee and prepare beverages Operate the register and handle cash/credit transactions Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and service areas Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management Work efficiently during early morning hours What We're Looking For Ability to reliably start work early in the morning Strong punctuality and attendance are required Baking or food service experience preferred (training available for the right candidate) Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs Food safety awareness (ServSafe a plus, not required) Schedule Monday - Thursday 4AM - 11 AM Additional weekend shifts available if desired
