Brembo is located in Homer, MI, just 20 minutes west from Jackson! The Manufacturing Engineer plans, directs and coordinates manufacturing processes in a machining environment and develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, material and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, manufacturing methods and quality control standards. Coordinates Co-ops, Maintenance, and Quality as directed. Job Requirements of the
Manufacturing Engineer:
Design, coordinate, and improve manufacturing processes in a machining environment with proven experience with various machining, fabrication, and assembly processes. Working knowledge of tooling and production equipment used in "turning" operations. Ability to use continuous improvement methods to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, and CPP. Experience in machining, CNC turning, tooling, and assembly equipment . Working knowledge of CAD systems. i.e. AutoCad, SolidWorks, etc. Experience with developing machining, assembly and necessary APQP documents. Working knowledge of PC applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), GD&T, PFMEA, and continuous improvement tools. i.e. 5-S, Kaizen, Poka-yoke design, DOE, and OEE. Basic understanding of automation and related components with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens controls a plus. Familiar with Fanuc and Kuka Robots is desirable. Project Management - Coordinate New Program Launches with the ability to manage and coordinate the project from design to launch. Activities include design, line layouts, capital procurement, equipment programming, setup, and training. Interact with customers and suppliers as required. Establish appropriate inventory levels for all cutting tools and perishable work in the stockroom and SMED area. Educational Requirements of the
Manufacturing Engineer:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering preferred but not required.
