- Manufacturing Engineer
- will play a role in the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and overall productivity.
- What you will be doing:
- + Engage in projects related to process improvement, cost reduction, and new product introductions + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution within defined timelines and budget constraints + Work with product design teams and fellow engineers to ensure that designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and align with production capabilities + Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on manufacturability and process considerations + Take part in the design and development of manufacturing processes, ensuring alignment with production goals and quality standards + Implement improvements to existing processes, utilizing Lean and Six Sigma principles to optimize efficiency + Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and suggest solutions to increase overall effectiveness + Drive initiatives to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall operational efficiency + Provide technical support to manufacturing teams, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to processes, equipment, and materials + Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to perform measures that enhance product quality and reliability + Design and apply quality control procedures and systems + Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols + Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices + Conduct cost analysis for manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality + Follow all company safety policies and procedures + Attend all required company training + Demonstrate commitments to Stratasys Behaviors by leading, acting, and modeling these values + Other responsibilities as assigned by the department or manager •Must have for this role:•+ Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent/related + 2+ years related experience, or advanced degree + Experience in manufacturing engineering + Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Individual should be a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-changing, high-paced manufacturing environment + Ability to work well with others •Nice to have:•+ Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in leading cross-functional teams + Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools + Knowledge of industry regulations and standards + Ability to use CAD software for fixture design and to develop new floor layouts a plus + Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt + Knowledge of extrusion process or plastics processing •Travel required:•10%, regional •What you will be part of:•+ •Company Overview -•https://www.
