Owatonna, MN Fulltime Role Summary:
Seeking a Design Engineer to support product development, product improvement, and cost reduction initiatives for a leading manufacturing organization. This role will lead cross-functional projects, translate customer requirements into product solutions, perform engineering analysis, support manufacturing processes, and contribute throughout the product lifecycle. The position works closely with engineering, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and operations teams.

Required /
Mandatory Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering Minimum 3 years of product design or design engineering experience Strong mechanical engineering and product design background Experience with product development and manufacturing processes Ability to translate customer requirements into practical product solutions Experience leading or coordinating cross-functional project teams Strong communication and collaboration skills Engineering analysis including strength calculations, fits and tolerances, and CAD modeling
Qualification:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering 3+ years of progressive product or design engineering experience Experience with manufacturing methods such as sheet metal, fabrication, plastics, castings, or similar processes Knowledge of design validation, prototype development, design for manufacturability (DFM), and product lifecycle support Experience with FEA/stress calculations preferred CAD design experience preferred
