Owatonna, MN Full-time Role Summary:
Seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to lead new product development, product improvement, and cost reduction initiatives within a manufacturing environment. The role involves evaluating customer requirements, developing product concepts, leading cross-functional project teams, performing engineering analysis, and supporting products throughout their lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical design expertise and hands-on experience with manufacturing processes and product development.

Mandatory Skills:
Mechanical Engineering background Product design and development experience Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Experience with manufacturing processes such as injection molding, aluminum casting, fabrication, and machining Engineering analysis, stress calculations, and finite element analysis (FEA) CAD design experience (SolidWorks preferred) Cross-functional project leadership Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to translate customer requirements into product solutions
Qualification:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering Minimum 5 years of progressive product engineering experience Experience leading new product development and product improvement projects Experience in a manufacturing environment
