Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking an on-site, highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate, manufacturable designs and providing engineering support throughout the project lifecycle. This includes producing shop drawings, submittals, and detailed models using design software, as well as engineering work orders for production using Cabinet Vision. The Engineer collaborates with project managers, production staff, and other departments to ensure that all documentation and products meet specifications and are delivered on time.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Prepares and develops project files, specifications, drawings, and models for projects Ensures that shop drawings, specifications, and revisions are effective, completed on time and actionable Thoroughly documents and communicates items that may affect the overall project to Project Managers and any internal/external contacts with adequate thought and analysis to prevent any project delays Develops and revises bills of material, cut sheets, work orders, and shipping requirements for projects Consults with Project Managers and customers on project design and schedule Coordinates with Engineering, Production, and Project Management to ensure product design and all related documentation is in compliance with related specifications and is a functional product
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Demonstrates knowledge of standard building practices and internal processes Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in all engineering aspects Demonstrates ability to apply theories and principles of engineering, science, and mathematics to identify internal process issues, evaluates possible solutions, and recommend resolutions Experience with the latest version of Revit, AutoCAD LT, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office is preferred; hands-on woodworking skills and the ability to learn new software and obtain additional resources are a plus. Ability to self-manage workload and priorities
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times Travel, as needed
