$23-$35/hour (base pay + travel differential)
Per Diem Rate:
$65/day + paid lodging Build Solutions. Travel. Make an Impact. Watson Custom Tanks is growing, and we're looking for a Field Service Welder who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and working directly with customers. With over 100 years of combined experience in custom tank manufacturing, our team is known for delivering innovative, high-quality solutions—and we need someone who can represent that standard in the field. What You'll Do Provide on-site technical support and customer service Install, repair, and maintain equipment at customer locations Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and performance issues Perform field testing to ensure proper operation Create detailed service reports and recommendations Collaborate with sales, production, and engineering teams Build strong, professional relationships with customers What You Bring 5+ years of manufacturing or technical experience Ability to travel 60-75% (multi-day trips, short notice) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to read blueprints and schematics Experience with preventative maintenance practices Knowledge of overhead cranes, forklifts, and hand tools Welding experience (MIG/TIG, stainless preferred) Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Physical & Work Requirements Lift up to 50 lbs and work in active industrial environments Stand, walk, crouch, and work with hands for extended periods Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Why Watson Custom Tanks Competitive hourly pay + travel differential Work on diverse, custom-engineered projects High-impact role with direct customer interaction Collaborative, solution-focused team environment Long-term growth in a skilled technical field
