This position reports to:
Project Operations Manager __ Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of new automated production processes to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Manufacturing facility in Senatobia, MS You will be mainly accountable for: Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities, process automation opportunities, and implement improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements. Creating comprehensive test specifications and protocols for quality assurance testers, ensuring all products meet required quality standards and compliance requirements Designing and developing automation solutions for current production processes to reduce labor requirements, enhance efficiency, and maintain product quality standards. Approving the design for processes developed internally or externally and performing final tests with respect to the project. Manage project budget Providing support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources. Driving continuous improvement initiatives on existing and automated production lines, analyzing performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing process enhancements to maximize throughput and minimize waste Evaluating and implement new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices. Qualifications for the role Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.(required) You have 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process automation, or production optimization, working as a Process Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer with automated production systems and industrial equipment.(required) You hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. You are highly adept in CAD/simulation tools, and test management platforms. You are passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence and innovative around problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration. Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), industrial controls, and automation systems.(preferred) Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement experience.(preferred) Building a cleaner, smarter future takes all kinds of minds: the curious, the courageous, and the creative.
