Full Time, Onsite Position Overview An established global manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations at its Northeast Mississippi facility. This position will focus on improving manufacturing processes, supporting new projects, optimizing equipment and production layouts, and partnering with operations, quality, and maintenance teams to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost. The ideal candidate brings hands-on manufacturing experience and is comfortable working directly with production teams, equipment, tooling, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Evaluate current manufacturing processes and implement improvements related to productivity, quality, safety, workflow, and cost Support new product introductions, production launches, equipment installations, and process changes Review and provide input on tooling, fixtures, molds, gauges, and equipment designs Develop and improve production layouts, workflows, work instructions, and manufacturing standards Identify production bottlenecks and implement practical solutions to improve capacity and efficiency Support capital equipment planning, including vendor coordination, equipment selection, installation, startup, and validation Partner with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot equipment and process issues Develop tooling, fixtures, mistake-proofing methods, and other solutions that improve process consistency Support automation and robotics initiatives across manufacturing operations Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production, equipment, and quality concerns Assist with training production and technical employees on processes, equipment, and manufacturing standards Prepare and maintain process documentation, engineering changes, project timelines, and technical records Use production data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and measure results Collaborate with operations, quality, maintenance, product engineering, suppliers, and leadership Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred At least three years of manufacturing, process, production, or industrial engineering experience Experience supporting equipment, tooling, fixtures, production layouts, and process improvements in a manufacturing environment Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies Experience with root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and corrective actions Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar engineering design software Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with production employees, technical teams, vendors, and leadership Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with plastics, molding, metal fabrication, assembly, or other high-volume manufacturing processes Experience with robotics, automation, PLC-controlled equipment, or CNC machinery Familiarity with FANUC robotics or similar industrial robotic systems Experience with equipment installation, production launches, or capital projects Knowledge of tooling, fixture design, poka-yoke, Kaizen, SMED, or 5S Experience using SAP or another ERP or manufacturing system Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, or similar manufacturing-quality processes Additional Information Compensation is flexible based on experience.
