This position reports to:
Manufacturing Engineering Manager __ Your role and responsibilities: In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget. The work model for the role is onsite in our Hackettstown, NJ manufacturing facility. #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Manufacturing Engineering Team in Hackettstown, NJ . Main stakeholders are the Operations, Quality, and Engineering Team . You will be mainly accountable for: Provide technical troubleshooting and support for manufacturing equipment, including molding machines and test systems, ensuring operational continuity and minimizing downtime. Develop, audit, and continuously improve Bills of Material (BOMs), production routings, work instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) through time studies, process audits, and pilot production runs. Identify and implement improvements to operational processes, driving efficiency, standardization, and best practices across production areas. Collaborate with suppliers on quality-related activities, supporting vendor evaluation and the continuous improvement of incoming parts and materials.Qualifications for the role:
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role; background in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electromechanical Engineering. Hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing environments, with strong preference for injection molding processes. Proven ability to drive and implement organizational change, supported by strategic thinking and proactive planning skills. Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented professional, with strong multitasking and project management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. In-depth background in injection molding manufacturing. Lean Six Sigma certification (Yellow Belt or higher). Proficiency in MS Office package, with emphasis on Excel and Access.
