CalRamic Technologies is seeking a passionate engineer to support the growing demands of our manufacturing operations. This is your chance to directly develop and enhance new manufacturing processes, collaborating closely with production teams to identify needs and optimize efficiency. This role will be instrumental in designing and developing new tools and processes to ensure our cutting-edge products transition seamlessly from prototype to manufacturing.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and implement new manufacturing processes and process improvements. Work closely with Manufacturing Supervisors, Operators and other Engineering resources to identify process improvement needs and facilitate their implementation. Identify alternative manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs. Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency. Research automation techniques, test new systems for efficiency and plan factory layouts to optimize production. Design and develop new tools, fixtures and processes to support manufacturing of both new and existing products. Develop clear work instructions for new or updated processes and provide the needed Operator training to ensure a smooth transition from prototyping into high volume manufacturing. Provide technical support & technical direction in addressing manufacturing issues. Ensure that manufacturing processes are compliant with all company quality standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
BS in Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Process Engineering 5 years' minimum experience in manufacturing organization. Strong mechanical design skills and experience using mechanical design software, i.e. Solid Works, etc. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to manage multiple & varied responsibilities (i.e. tasks, projects) in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a high performance, high collaborative work environment. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
